Great hard drive, (What's this?) I've used it daily in a Dell Inspiron 5150 for six months now, and I have no complaints (except that it is on sale now for less than what I paid for it). It is fast, quiet, and runs cool. I highly recommend it.
Perfect for my old Gateway 6348 ide notebook, (What's this?) If you need an Ide hard drive for your notebook this PATA one will fit perfectly. And it works faster then original IDEs. I have installed it in my old Gateway 6348 notebook with ide slot and it have been working just great.
Hard disk failed in one year, (What's this?) I bought this hard disk to replace my old 80GB laptop hard disk. Just in one year it has failed. I did not expect this from a Samsung product.
Samsung 160 GB 5400 RPM 2.5-Inch Hard Drive, (What's this?) I received mine about 3 months ago and after putting it in I did notice a slight increase in performance, mainly start-up time decreased about 15 seconds so that was good, it scored a normal 5.4 on the windows index experience. It is a good no frill hard drive, it's by no means "high performance" but for the everyday person it is just fine. If you are a gamer or someone who really wants performance I would recommend a 10,000 RPM hard drive.
I bought 3 or 4 of these as they are the fastest IDE laptop drives made, (What's this?) These are possibly (if not) the fastest laptop hard drives made of the IDE era (of this speed and certainly this price range). I still have a couple in the wrapper but the 2 I used have been good.

Great hard drive, (What's this?) Bought this hard drive to replace the original 80GB drive in my daughter's Gateway laptop. I found it to be very easy to install. Having used it for a couple weeks, it runs very quietly and reliably. I am very happy with my purchase and highly recommend it to others.
Samsung 5400 RPM PATA 2.5" Drive, (What's this?) Not much to say other than worked as expected in an ancient IBM G40 laptop and it's nice to have four times the storage and a nominal increase in data access speed.
